I'm Chanel, also known as Shyamsakhi. Let me share a little secret with you... I wasn't always a fan of reading when I was younger. The stories I came across didn't resonate with me or reflect my own experiences. But as I journeyed through 35 beautiful years on this Earth, something magical happened—I became an avid reader. Ask me for my wish list, and you'll hear a mix of book titles and maybe even some cookbooks (they count as books too!).

So, how did this transformation occur? Well, it all started when I became a mother to two curious children. Reading soon became an integral part of our daily routine. However, I quickly realized that bedtime stories weren't always as captivating for them. The stories were often too long (I see you, tired moms and dads) and not engaging enough to keep them awake and enthralled. That's when I turned to the intricate tales of the Vedic scriptures, which I had grown up with as a "Hare Krishna" child. Stories like Narasimha, the Divine Protector, and countless others sparked their interest.

These Vedic stories, passed down through a lineage of sages, are not only exciting but also meaningful, true, and real. While we may get excited about Marvel movies and superheroes, I found that the Vedic stories hold a special place in our hearts. Bedtime stories transformed into tales about the fierce Goddess Durga or the dedicated warrior Hanuman.
